The peacock is a speckled active glaze reminiscent of high-fired glaze that cuts pleasantly with beautiful effects that can be achieved at lower temperatures. When the glaze is thicker, it forms soft green spots on a dark brown surface where it is thinner. This glaze is designed to allow the clay body to show through where the texture is and look significantly different on red wares and white wares.
