Add AMACO® Gum Solution to the glaze to improve its brittleness and slow its drying time resulting in a more uniform and even application. Old, thick glaze can be returned to its original creamy texture by diluting the glaze with water first, then adding about 1 tablespoon of AMACO® gum solution, or as much as required for good friability without dragging. AMACO® Gum Solution prevents the glaze from quickly drying and cracking.

After using AMACO® Underglaze crayons and crayons, carefully spray or brush a diluted layer of gum solution over the entire surface to seal the glaze. Let it dry, then wipe it on a clear glaze. The gum solution seal will prevent the colors from smudging while brushing the glaze.
